About Pack 21

Who We Are

  • Cub Scout Pack 21 proudly serves Cunningham, Williams and Joslin Elementary Schools, as well as the surrounding area. The Pack is chartered by Berkeley United Methodist Church and is part of the Boy Scouts of America Capitol Area Council Thunderbird District.

What We Do

  • Camping, hiking, archery, knot-tying, fishing, fire-building, sports, geocaching, model car racing, woodworking, community service, and much more!

Who Can Participate

  • All boys and girls in Kinder (5yrs) to 5th grade can join Cub Scouts. You can begin your journey at any grade level. Both Mom and Dad can be leaders. Siblings are welcome too. It’s fun for the entire family! Parent must be active with their scout.

Time Commitment

  • You will have four meetings a month (one for the Pack and three for your small group, or “Den”). Special Pack Events, service projects, fundraising, camping and overnight trips are typically four+ times a year.

  • Expect a yearly cost of about $150 to cover your membership fee, handbook, and activity fees. Uniforms are an additional cost, but are worn for multiple years.

Scouting Means Doing

  • When you sign your son or daughter up for Cub Scouting, you are signing them up for more than an after-school activity. Whether it's camping for the first time or catching a fish for the first time, they will be taking part in activities that are fun as well as character building.
  • We camp three times a year and have a minimum of one trip per year to places like the USS Lexington, USS Texas or the American Undersea Warfare Center.
  • Our dens contribute to the community through hands-on community service projects. Helping other people is a fundamental part of the Scouting experience.

Scouting Needs Leaders

  • We are a volunteer-run organization and rely on the dedication of our leaders (parents) to provide a meaningful and worthwhile program for your family. Volunteer roles range from hands-on to behind-the-scenes.
